This is a Sami storeroom (Áittit in Sami, stabbur in Norwegian)
in northern Norway. The Sami people are the indigenous
Scandinavians who live across Norway, Sweden, Finland and northwestern Russia. For the nomadic Sami storerooms were built to
return to as they moved from place to place herding reindeer.
These storerooms were tucked away, safe, in remote locations. The
Sami Parliament have been documenting these since 2011 to
protect their cultural heritage.
