This is The Byre, one of the Striding Arches by Andy Goldsworthy. The materials used in Andy's work include flowers, icicles, leaves, mud, pinecones, snow, stone, twigs, and thorns. He says, "My remit is to work with nature as a whole", which is exactly what a natural home builder does. Andy work is inspiration for many of them, notably Thea Alvin.

Andy Goldsworthy is one of the world’s foremost artists working directly in the landscape. Striding Arches, a series of self-supporting arches standing on hilltops at Cairnhead in Scotland. Each arch stands just under four metres high, with a span of about seven metres, and consists of 31 blocks of hand-dressed red sandstone from Locharbriggs Quarry weighing approximately 27 tons. If the sandstone looks familiar to readers from the USA it may be because the steps of the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbour are taken from the same quarry.
